Alexandre Nikolaevich Vinokourov : Tour De France Popular Kazakh Rider

Although he is not the overall winner of the recently concluded 94th edition of Le Tour De France, Vino did win few races. With all the doping scandal here and there (as usual as every year), Vino is just popular. By any means. :)

As a result of Vinokourov's failed test, his entire Astana Team pulled out of the 2007 Tour de France after being requested to withdraw by ASO president Patrice Clerc. -wiki

Vinokourov's Astana team sacked the rider on Monday after his B sample was also confirmed positive for blood doping. -source

"I have always raced within the rules. "I have been tested at least 100 times during my career. These [test] results have no sense. With all the attention now paid to doping, you would have to be crazy to do what I am accused of having done, and I am not crazy."

"I am happy with my performance, I am finding my legs again. Now I want to attack in the Pyrénées. I want to thank everyone in and around the team that encouraged me to get through the Alps."

My first priority is tennis. But being on the catwalk might be an interesting experience. Let's see what the future brings.

I never use make-up on the court. I like it the natural way.

I admire Roger Federer , not only for his tennis but also for his personality. And my role models are Monica Seles and Martina Navratilova. Nowadays, I like Kim Clijsters , and I am impressed by the comeback of Martina Hingis . By the way, I would like to play her in the future. -on her fav tennis idol

"It's a dream come true," - right after joining McLaren

“It just keeps getting better and better – to be on the front row in only my third Formula 1 weekend is an amazing feeling. I don’t think that my final qualifying lap was my best lap of the session. Qualifying is so intense and you need to pull out everything. The wind also keeps changing direction here which makes things even more challenging. It looks like all the hard work has paid off and we have definitely closed the gap to Ferrari and made progress. The start tomorrow will be crucial – there is a very long run down into the first corner. However I have raced here at this circuit before so I have a bit more experience than the last two races and we will see what happens.” - at 2007 Bahrain GP

"To be racing in Formula 1 with McLaren has been the ultimate goal for me since I was very young and this opportunity is a fantastic way to end what has been the best year for me. I have grown up with McLaren and Mercedes and wouldn't be where I am today without their continued support and guidance."

"However I'm aware that this will be a challenge and I know that there will be a lot of attention on me. However the team has told me just to relax, do the best I can and enjoy the opportunity. I will work hard to get good results."

"I'm very pleased with the result.. To have finished on the podium three times out of three is fantastic.” -after 2007 Bahrain GP

“I’m absolutely ecstatic – today’s result is more than I ever dreamed of achieving on my Grand Prix debut. A big thank you to the team who have worked so hard during the winter to make sure I was as prepared as I possible could be. I made a good start but the BMWs were quick off the line and Kubica managed to get past. There was no room on the inside so I got on the left and managed to outbrake both Kubica and Fernando coming into the first corner to take third. The race was intense, and I was working very hard. I made a few mistakes but nothing major and really enjoyed myself. It was great to lead the race for a few laps, but I knew it was only a temporary thing. Fernando got past me in the second pitstop as he was able to stay out a bit longer and I lost some time behind backmarkers. We now have a lot of work ahead of us with the Malaysia test and the rest of the season, but there is no doubt that we can build from what has been achieved today.”

José Mourinho : The Most Popular Extra Special Soccer Manager

Save those water Jose! :)
Still fresh from one of the best UEFA Champions League knock-out matchday, which has been played last night. What a performance especially Manchester United, whom slayed AS Roma at the Theater of Dream (7-1,8-3 agg) and Chelsea ditch a last breath winning goal at Valencia's Mestalla (2-1,3-2 agg). Kudos to all of 'em!

[more][more]

José Mário dos Santos Mourinho Félix who popularly being known as José Mourinho, is the man behind the greatest revival of The Blues (of course with the help from Roman's Not-That-Little Pounds). I don't think he need to be introduced further more. Enjoy his soft-heavy-accently-funny-killer quotes.

"Please don't call me arrogant, but I'm European champion and I think I'm a special one."

"I saw their players and manager go for a lap of honour after losing to us in their last home game. In Portugal if you do this, they throw bottles at you." - on Manchester United

"We have top players and, sorry if I'm arrogant, we have a top manager"

"There are only two ways for me to leave Chelsea. One way is in June 2010 when I finish my contract and if the club doesn't give me a new one. It is the end of my contract and I am out. The second way is for Chelsea to sack me. The way of the manager leaving the club by deciding to walk away, no chance! I will never do this to Chelsea supporters." - when asked if success in the Carling Cup final might mean the last trophy he would win for Chelsea

"If I wanted to have an easy job...I would have stayed at Porto - beautiful blue chair, the Uefa Champions League trophy, God, and after God, me."

"If he helped me out in training we would be bottom of the league and if I had to work in his world of big business, we would be bankrupt." - on Chelsea F.C. owner Roman Abramovich

"I saw their players and manager go for a lap of honour after losing to us in their last home game. In Portugal if you do this, they throw bottles at you." - on Manchester United

"Pressure? What pressure? Pressure is poor people in the world trying to feed their families. There is no pressure in football" - speaking in a post-match interview

"Everybody wants Chelsea to lose a game. When they do they should declare a public holiday." - Speaking in a press conference about Chelsea's leading Premiership start in the 2005-06 season

"I think he is one of these people who is a voyeur. He likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea." - on Arsène Wenger

"I am more scared of bird flu than football. What is football compared with life? I have to buy some masks and stuff - maybe for my team as well." - Speaking soon after H5N1 spread to Britain, and when Chelsea's league lead over Manchester United had slipped to 7 points

Keiichi Tsuchiya : The Most Popular Dorikin a.k.a Drift King

Hail the King of Drift. Also known as the papa of Tōge and Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno a.k.a. the "Hachi-Roku" expert. Numerous titles and awesome career results, and without any doubt, he's one of the motorsports legend. Not just in his mother-country but the whole earth, I believe.

Occupation: Former JGTC Driver and Team Director, Current D1GP Judge
Website: www.k1planning.com (Japanese)

"I drift not because it is a quicker way around a corner, but it is the most exciting way"

"Men with guts attack those corners!"

Having the opportunity to watch his stunning drift skills during last year D1GP malaysia, no word other that W-O-W that best describes he's awesome control and superb drifting skills.

"You brake and then turn the wheel, step on the clutch, and pull the e-brake. Release the e-brake, go into countersteer mode, then wait. Wait until you know the car is facing the corner exit direction. then you smile and slam on the gas as you exit the corner."

"This is fun! I wish that Toyota could make cars like this again!" (on the Toyota AE86)

"Countersteer ga osoin' da yo naa.. (Countersteer is late, huh?)" (from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, subbed as "You call that drifting?")

"Sou yuu dake desu. (Just like that.)" (Tsuchiya as he demos a drift)

"The Most Important thing is Balance." (Tsuchiya says this word in every drift action)

"Doda?" (Tsuchiya says "How's that?" sarcastically to Shikiba Tatsuya, in Shuto Kusokou Trials MAX)

"There's tension on the track, now you see how hard it is. You may be fastest on the street, but unless you know the track, you're not good enough to sit behind the wheel." (Tsuchiya speaking to Shikiba, subtitled portion, Shuto Kusokou Trials MAX)

"I'm afraid if I raced you on the street, I'd push you to your death." (Tsuchiya speaks to Takahiro Yamanaka, subtitled portion, Shuto Kusokou Trials 2)

Angelina Jolie : The Most extra-Popular Hollywood Mommy

Yea. I know. The title somewhat doesn't reflect much. Supposed to read world's most hawt super-mum, sexiest Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, world's most beautiful women, Hollywood greatest kids-lover-adopter, and what not. The list is kinda never stop (as for now). She's just the "bomb". Enough said.

"To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. I wouldn't be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife." -Jolie denied she and Pitt had started an affair during filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith

"I’m never going to have a mans name tattooed on my body again."

We cannot close ourselves off to information and ignore the fact that millions of people are out there suffering. I honestly want to help. I don't believe I feel differently from other people. I think we all want justice and equality, a chance for a life with meaning. All of us would like to believe that if we were in a bad situation someone would help us. -Jolie as UN Ambassador

"I'd tell him: 'I'm alone; I'm dying; I'm gay; I'm not going to see you for weeks.'" -Jolie to Johny-Lee-Miller, while shooting GIA

Birth name Angelina Jolie Voight
Born June 4, 1975
Los Angeles, California, United States
Spouse(s) Jonny Lee Miller (1996-1999)
Billy Bob Thornton (2000-2003)

"It took me by surprise, too, because overnight, we totally changed. I think one day we had just nothing in common. And it's scary but... I think it can happen when you get involved and you don't know yourself yet." -Jolie on sudden dissolution of her marriage with Bob

"Of course. If I fell in love with a woman tomorrow, would I feel that it's okay to want to kiss and touch her? If I fell in love with her? Absolutely! Yes!" -Jolie In an interview with Barbara Walters in 2003, asked if she was bisexual

"I use Blistex, but because my lips are naturally red, I also subdue the colour with a nude lipstick. I know other women would kill for my lips, but I feel they take over my face."

Happy Family...

“Every time I see a picture of myself with Mad I can’t believe how fortunate my life has been. It’s an image I thought I would never see: myself with a child.”
